During 24 years in Indonesia, Timor-Leste was built by the Government of Indonesia with the cost of a big budget, but the confrontations frequently happened between the troops of Indonesia with Fretilin guerrillas. This happened continuously so that it caught the attention of the world to take an action to overcome it.

Finally, in 1999, it was the last year for Timor Leste to be part of Indoensia.
